I've become a big fan of New England IPAs and I'm a massive fan of Mornington, so this should have been right up my alley. Although it's a good beer, it doesn't quite nail the style as other Australian beers such as the Matriarch have done. There are aromas of grapefruit, peach and a little tang. The hops are more piney in the mouth, and the juiciness doesn't come through as much as it does in the best of this style. The palate's a little thin though I do appreciate the tart finish, and I certainly love staring at it!

Tap at The Craft Beer Co. Islington, thanks Leighton. Pours nice deep brown, not much carbonation and just a bit of brown foam on top. Nose is caramelly, nutty and has some light, not sweet caramel candy character. Flowery for some reason. Taste brings out more nuttiness, some roast malt character there, not really that roasty - and not that hoppy either. Still some bitterness lingering there in the finish, quite simple brown ale - but very likeable one.

Can 330ml. Delicate hazy golden colour. White head, good lacing. Aroma is fresh, full of resin and sweet tropical fruits notes. Medium to high, intense but short in time, resin-citrus character bitternes, aggresive, very good with long aftertaste. Beer is full body like for session IPA, refreshing, drinkable, very tasty one word. Good job.
