On Cask at Dronfield Arms - Yellow with a small white head. Fruity aroma with a little citrus and a little buttery note. Sweet fruity flavour with pear notes, some grassy hops and a bitter finish. An okay beer.

Cask at Kelham Island, Sheffield. Clear straw coloured lager-like pour. Big hoppy buttery aroma leading into a smooth creamy ale with surprisingly little bitterness. There's nothing on the palate, but the aroma and smoothness of this ale will ensure its popularity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Solihull Camra beer festival. Clear straw coloured pour with a big bubbly head. There is so much in the aroma with lots of grass and floral notes, but with a hint of caramel smoothness too. The flavour is grassy/floral. There is little bitterness, but who needs it. This ale was packed with plenty of other flavours.

Hand-pulled pint in The Wellington, Birmingham on 18th sep 2012. This amber beer with its off-white head gave off a semi-sweet malty molasses aroma and the taste followed those smells: this is malts 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the hops are there to stop the brew becoming too sweet and to give a mini-bitterness in the finish. Although I enjoyed the flavours; this could have been almost any of Salamanders 150 plus specials, they must surely just tweak a basic boil to produce so many different beers.

Half pint, cask, nicely served in a mug at the Whitelocks First City Luncheon Bar in Leeds. Tiny white head blanketing the glass. Clear copper coloured body. Dry fruity hops to the nose. Fresh and smooth flavour of fruity hops. Short bitter tail. Good match to my Brie & Cranberry Sandwiches (12.07.2012).
