Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Unclear amber brown color with small white head. Aroma of spices, (cardemum) and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, warm alcoholic, bitter and spicey aftertast. Very good.

Clear ruby amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Very sweet hoppy aroma. Sweet malty flavor with some fruity hints and a touch of hops.

33 cL bottle. Pours with light brown and shotlasting head but creamy head. Strong smeel of a specific hop (dunno which - but I like this one) Smell and taste of hop, caramel, malt and spice. Chocolate, dark yet sweet after taste. All sorts of different aftertastes come up with every zip. This is a real belgian Christmas ale as one would expect it to be - very good work!

Bottle. Brown color with huge creamy light brown head. Caramel, malt, cane sugar, spice and orange. Flavor of rich dark fruit, roastiness, maple, and light spices. Nice carbonation and perfekt balance.

I had to rate this b/c this beer doesnt get enough love. Best before 2008, capped 750 poured into a Duvel glass. Pours with a dark golden color and a large frothy head. Beautiful full golden with some translucence but looks as hard as a rock. Head takes a while to fade and when it does you are left with a completely covered surface of lacing. Lots of chunkies the longer your pour. Aroma is strong, a lactose-y yeasty, sweet aroma with just a bit of spices. Reminds me of a Southampton Triple from this year. I mean it really reminds me of that. Taste is a bit more subdued, with a nice heavy body for a triple. Pillowy full mouthfeel. Tastes of yeastiness and a sweet leftover. A beautiful beer.

Clear color, golden to amber. Malty sweet and also alcohol sweet, warming alcohol. Fruity taste with a faint acidic aftertaste. Low hops in the taste and also low bitterness. Big body and high co2 level. Great Belgian that you want more of. Nasty. For the little bit that ended up in my glass though: Hazy copper color, small yellow head (the stuff in the bottle still is VILE looking though!). Sweet, fruity, some fruits scent. Frist of this shipment that doesn’t smell horrible. Sweet, harsh grainy, sugary, alcohol taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium sort of harsh bitterness. No way am I pouring the rest of the bottle looking like that.6/2/5/4/11=2.8

Clear golden color with off white head. Mild aroma of Belgian yeast, spice and some wheat. Flavor is on the sweet side initially with wheat and honey. About midway some coriander and cinnamon enter. Near the finish a sour note arises before the flavor fades into the aftertaste where all flavors re-appear and converge and slowly fade away.

This 750mL had both a bottle cap and a cork. Hazy copper color with floating sediment and thin tan head. Lots of carbonation but the head receded to a ring in a couple of minutes. Sweet soft aroma of caramel malts, dark fruit, brown sugar and something else I can’t really describe. Smooth mild flavor that tastes as it smells. I get the cherry-date like fruitiness, some sweet caramel malts along with a hint of yeast spiciness. There seems to be a bit of orange citrus sweetness and a slight hint of wood that wasn’t apparent in the aroma. Excellent beer.

Clear copper color with tall pillowy light tan head. Big carbonation. Aroma of grains, hay, spicy hops, citrus hops and Belgium yeast. Great tasting beer. First there is spicy bitter hops then some sweet caramel malts which lead into more grainy pale malts. Next the flavor becomes sweet orange citrus mixed with yeast spiciness and brown sugar. Excellent beer
