33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. So a double wit then. Stronger than the average blanche. Cloudy orange/gold with thick pale beige head. Rather an attractive wit, lemony, some spice, some cereal. Good in mouth, soft, but with depth. Finish has tangy lemon. Some more spice. In fact spicey lemon finsh is excellent. Very drinkable, well structured wit.

Tasted at Beer Cricus, Brussels. Loads of fruit in the aroma. Dark, cloudy brown beer with a lacing head. Sweet and fruity aroma and flavor, but it lacs the house taste of this brewer and that is a good change.

Bottle. Nice tan head with good duration. Color is dark amber with lots of sediments. Aroma is quite powerful with lots of spices and fruits. Taste is nice and complex with spices and fruits as well.

Bottle. Dark amber-brown beer with a nice cream colored head. Huge fruity aroma with some sweetness - berry, plum, date. Deep malty flavor with chocolate, caramel, and nuts and some fruitiness. Flavor lingers with some earthiness and yeastiness and oak. Very smooth, creamy mouthfeel that is surprisingly a bit lighter. Hides alcohol very well and is very drinkable.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden with some impurities - the usual Des Rocs flocculate I reckon. The head is a creamy, off-white and leaves some lacework. Very soft, smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Aroma is one of yeast and fruit. Medium body with notes of yeast and fruit and lightly sweet malts. Some dry bitterness in the finish. 030307

Pours a copper/brown color with a large light tan head. A fair amount of sediment is visable in the glass. Pleasant aroma of yeast, spices, caramel malt, and bubblegum. Body is full, with the right amount of carbonation. Flavor is full of sweet, dark fruits. Caramel, yeast, malt and wood round out the flavor. Finish is mildly tart. The alcohol is very well hidden, just barely noticeable in the finish. A very impressive beer.

brown, with sweet trecely malt nose, with a sweet syrupy complex malt with a little tartness. The 9% could easily slip by you... Rerate 13/03/08. 4.2The protien thats common in these bottles is always a real disapointment... was maybe a bit too sweet this time but still very nice once sived. 4.2 bottle at home Jan 2011 ... dark copper rather than brown ... sweet toffee malt nose ... quite fizzy ... juicy sweet malts ... little sherbert ... berry fruity ... cherries mostly ... light yeast ... ligth syrupy body ... 4.1 Bottle at home may 2014... 75cl bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Hazy red brown colour with big white floaters and thick beige head. Malty, fruity aroma. Some yeast and strawberry. Fullish and vanilla in mouth, bit sickly really. Exciting children’s sweet, fruit aroma. It’s an interesting beer, but great? No. Just a bit sickly. Just too intense and sickly. Toffee, hop finish, fruit, dry malt. Just a bit too over the top. I like the normal of this beer, but the intensity of the Grand Cru doesn’t make it better. Intense big Belgian beer, but lacks subtlety, the sickly fruity malt spoils it.

Nice amber coloured, pale beige creamy head. Sweet malty, very fruity (orange, plum, raisin) and mild spicy aroma with notes of toffee, dark chocolate and yeast. Mild alcoholic and dry finish.
