bottle shared by cmr1517 - Pours murky amber with a sizable head. There’s a lot of yeast in the nose along with malt and a touch of dark fruit. The flavor is sweet and yeasty. The slight fruit note is a little on the sour side. Medium bodied and lively on the palate, it was enjoyable but didn’t blow me away.

Another christmas brew picked up mid July at Sugaya. Reddish brown with a nice light tan head. Very nice aroma. Sweet mats, alcohol, dark fruits, spices, raisins, chocolate, mmm. Though the alcohol is very noticeable in the flavor, it isn’t distracting. Roasted malts lead the way, alcohol, molasses, raisins, dark fruits, some sweetness, and spices. Nice, medium body with plenty of floaties since I wasn’t careful during the pour. Mellow, yet complex enough to add excitment. A great choice even though it’s the wrong season.

Deep dark hazy brown with creamy white head. Soft medium carbonaton. Dark dried fruits, sugar, malts, yeast & spices plus alcohol warmth. Long finish! Very good!

Bottle Pours a slightly hazy light mahogany with a nice full and persistant sandy colored head. Lots of floaties dancing among the lively effervescense. Aroma is a nice combo of raisons and dark sweet malts but a note of cooked vegtables..asparagus maybe.. Flavor si light belgian yeast notes and the candied sugar, rich carmel malts and a bit of alcohol.

Bottle 750ml Pours out a amber topped with a nice white head. Lots of dead yest in the beer even after a slot pour. Smell of sweetness and a little wood??? Sweet thick and tasty along with some pit fruit.

Hazy amber colour, small white head, leaving a nice lace. Aroma is fruity (oranges) and spicy with alcohol tones. Taste of citrus, coriander. Yeast is prominent. Nice mouthfeeling. Ends slightly bitter.

Bottle: Poured a murky golden color with a white jello like white head. The aroma is fruit and spice that wakes the mind. The taste is a yeast fruit with spice tingle. Very nice blonde in my mind.

1 pt 9 fl oz bottle. Pour is amber with a big off white head. There are a bunch of particulates ranging from tiny to pea sized. Aroma is malt, sweetness and earthiness. The taste is very nice, a big bright coriander ginger start wakes up the palate, and then a perfectly smooth malt - honey sweetness carries through to the finish. All through there is a nice fruitiness and yeasty earthiness that really completes the flavor profile. Additionally, there was a really nice spiciness to this beer. Truly complex, though I should have poured less of the sediment into the glass.

Bottle: First of all I have searched high and low for this all over Belgium with no luck finding. Then I find it in the first place I stop in Tallahassee. Okay on to my rating: It pored a chocolate brown with reddish tint, the head was a thick creamy beige that evaporated fast but left a nice top cover. The aroma is fruit with hints of sweet caramel and chocolate. Each sniff brought out more to my nose than before. The taste dive on the taste buds and forces you to hold on for the ride. I could intially taste the fruit similiar to my smell but it quickly turned into sweet candy caramel that finished with that spicy numbness.

bottle - Pours light amber with a large, lasting head. It has an ridiculous quantity of big, floating yeast flakes. The pleasing aroma mainly features yeast and fruits. Oddly I can’t decide if it was dark fruits or citrus or more likely somewhere in between, but it’s good. The flavor is sweet malts and yeast with some fruits and spices coming through. Medium bodied and lively on the palate, this beer is a quality brew and hey, it’s sure to get you plenty of nutritious brewer’s yeast.
