Pours burgundy with good head. Aroma has overripe fruits, malt and chocolate. Very complex and sweet flavor that is packed with spices, toffee and overripe fruits. Ends with nice warming alcohol.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Orange/yellow colour with frothy white head. Fruity, spicy nose with apricots and citric wheat aromas. Fruity, citric, spicy taste with notes of orange peel and dried fruit. Rather nice witbier, with slightly more bite than normally in the same style.

75 cL bottle, thanks to sk8viking. Pours hazy amber with a lacing white head. Malty, dried fruity and somewhat slight cloying. Nice underplayed spiced flavour with a sweet maltbase. Ends with a great blend of all elements. Nice.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Very hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Spicy and sweet nose with some brown sugars. Quite full-bodied, rich with sweet caramels and some spices - as well as a slightly earthy/fusty edge. Plenty of brown sugars in there also. Basically no bitterness. 280907

[i] Bottle from BOE 30-09-07 [/i] Poured mid-brown with a tan head. Aroma was bursting with fruits and nuts, plus some roasty malts. Tasted of the aforementioned fruits and nuts with a big ol’ pinch of nutmeg thrown into this sticky, sweet, spicy brew. I rather liked this and consider it a fine beer but I’m a little surprised at how highly it’s rated, maybe I should get another and try it again.

Pousrs hazy golden with a large, creamy, white head. Inviting aroma of spices, yeast, banana, and light fruit. Nice medium body with a bit of a spicy bite, but not overwhelmingly so. Flavor is fruity, banana, yeast, and some spices with a sweet malt background. Light pepper in the finish. Rather enjoyable.

Number 50 right now! 750 ml bottle via trade with mgumby10! Nose of spices, cherries, woodiness, and light mustiness; Hazy rust color with a medium straw head, the head flowing oa little out of the bottle while I was admiring the nose; flavor of cherries, clovey spices, caramel, and woodiness; finish is very lightlt sweet! Very good BSA!

Bottle: Poured a hazy copper amber color with white thick cream head. Sweet fruit and yeast aroma. Taste is a nice mellow fruit malt flavor.

Pours with a small but thick head that turns into a sticky lacing. Color is marmalade orange with spots, those spots are the infamous de Rocs floaties, but here it looks pretty nice. So still and thick looking, very murky but enough translucent light to make it radiate. Aroma is very original, first starts with strong tangerines that are kind of like sweet and sour, which is buttressed by a sweet Belgian yeastiness. It ends with a sweet floral perfume-ness. Taste is yeasty-citrus with medium sweetness. Again, rather original, very fruit/yeast beer with strong floral aspects. Talk about original, the mouthfeel is like drinking orange juice with pulp, never have I had something so... full of bits. A lighter side of medium body that’s pretty easy going down. Finishes with an abrupt sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm, so quaffable yet full of... well everything. Very different and enjoyable beer. Best before 2008, 750ml bottle, Hobgoblin tulip glass.
