Biggish offwhite head. Hazy yellow body with huge yeast floaties. Light malty grainy sweetish barnyard aroma. Dry acidic soft metal taste with floral hoppy notes. Excellent balance. Very, very nice. (0.75l bottle from BeerMania in Brussels.)

Bottle. [ Courtesy of drewbeerme ] Unclear medium amber red color with a average to large, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, fruit, drie fruiy, light alcohol, vintage. (Very complex aroma). Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Very nice beer ;o)) (151007)

Bottle at home ... bad bad sediment ... Rich sweet yeast nose little pear... Alcohol shows quite fruity again a little pear. Not bad just not great, I expect much more than this from a 9% beer... Disapointing as i really like the brune

330ml bottle. Opaque red-brown colour with a big, off-white head that left -plenty of lacing. Aroma had plenty of caramel malt with some accompanying yeast, and apricot and citrus hops. the flavour was also sweet, with plenty of molasses, orange and dark fruit. The finish was dry and long. Excellent all round.

Hazy to muddy orange amber with a fine white head. Yeast, wheat & spices. Medium & soft carbonation - smooth. Nice lacings. Fruity & light sweet. Funky fresh!

Bottle from the now closed Pitfield beer shop. Dark brown coloured with red undertones and a big off-white head. Aromas of molasses, liquorice, cardamom and chocolate. Flavour was sweet with dark fruit, spice and more chocolate. Complex and excellent.

330ml Bottle. Cloudy orange colour with a decent white head. Aroma of toffee, some citrus, yeast and spice. Flavour was sweet, with more spice and a slightly dry finish. Good but not especially memorable.

Pours reddish brown with medium head. Malty aroma with good amount of spices and toffee. Flavor has plums, raisins, toffee and cinnamon. Quite complex, vinious and finishes of with alcohol touch. Very nice.

Pours brown with large head. Malty aroma with notes of overripe fruits, toffee and yeast. Chocolate flavor that is malty, sweet, spicy and has port notes. Very complex. Best Nöel I have sampled!
