Chelmsford Beer Festival. Opaque dark brown beer. Light tan suddy head. Light semi dry palate. Nice rich dark chocolate malt balanced by sweet orange fruit hop. Finishes semi dry. Really nice balance of chocolatey malt and mild fruity hop. Well done!

Cask@Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, mild earth as well as some slight bready notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, mild grassy and earthy notes. Pleasant balance. Quite bitter finish.

Cask@Pembury Tavern, London. Yellowish golden colour, small head. Aroma is floral, herbal, earthy and quite bready malty. Flavour is wooden, slightly leathery and also rather hoppy floral notes. Mild dough and grass in the finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, light apple - toffee, butter notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, candy, sweet tobacco. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, acrid bitter notes. Cask, gravity, at The Red Lion, Middleton, Northamptonshire on the Welland Valley Beer Festival tour Sat 11th June 2011 Pours straw coloured with bubbly white head. This is tangy in the mouth with a good fruity bite, drying towards the end, nice beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask at the St Radegund, Cambridge on 3rd June 2011. Clear gold with thin lacing head of white foam. Rich hoppy aroma, then a delightful liquid of fruity and grassy hoppiness, citrus notes and a fruity finish on an engaging mouthfeel.

Cask, handpump at The Cambridge Blue, Cambridge, 03.06.11 Pours warm gold with a nice slim white head. The bitterness builds at the back of the mouth and lingers for some time. Some sweet malts show and balance things out. Touch boozy at first but then starts to drink a little easier than you might expect. Nice stuff. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

[Gravity cask at Chippenham Beer Festival] Brown with a negligible head & a light sparkle. A bit roasty, a bit malty, a bit chewy, a bit of port, a bit of gravy. Definitely dry though. OK.
