Description

Since 22 december 2020 owned completely by Huttenkloas where also all the beers are brewed.

30 cl bottle @ home (best before Dec. 2014, I can’t believe it was in the closet for that long....). Black color. Beige head. Aroma’s: sour fruit and drop, salmiak. Retronasal it’s sweet, brown sugar, drop. Flavor is moderate sweet, light fruity sour. Alcohol feel is quite strong, but body is a bit thin. Light roast and light bitterness in the finish. Needs a retry with a fresh batch.

Sampled from tap at Meibockfestival Amsterdam 2016. Clear, golden yellow with a white head. Fruity-grassy, spicy aroma of straw, lemon peel, some grapefruit and clove. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity, spicy taste of lemon peel, grapefruit, cloves, straw and ginger, followed by a short, slightly bitter, spicy and dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite okay.

Bottle. Black pour. Smooth aroma of maple, coffee and roasted malt. Nice taste of gritty coffee, roast, cream and a sweet caramelish stuff that must be the mapple. This is nice.
