Description

Cloudy amber with a thin caramel head. Wood and with rich Flemish-style maltiness and appley fruitiness. Sweetish and lightly fruity. The malts aren’t as developed as the nose indicates, but this a rare example of a New World sour beer that would be recognizable to a Belgian.

"Belette Brett". Slightly bretty and with some gluey malts. Light fruity and dry character. Decent balance, and will improve as the brett chews into the extra malts.

Draft: Poured a bright golden color ale with a large enough foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral and pine-like hops is pretty intense. Taste is also dominated by intense notes of floral hops with some pine and grassy notes also noticeable. Bitterness is quite light and malt backbone is lightly sweet. Body is about average for style with light oily texture and good carbonation. I really enjoyed this one with good restrained bitterness and loads of floral notes.

Draft: Poured a light hazy golden color ale with a large foamy head. Aroma of rustic malt notes with light fruity ester. Taste is also dominated by balanced rustic malt with light residual sugar and some light funky fruity ester. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Light grassy floral notes could also be detected. Not bad though I tasted better beers from this brewer.
