Struktura oleista pelno mazow pozostawia na kielichu Rochefort. Pieciotetnie spore piwo bylo mocne w smaku i bardzo owocowe. Dominowaly alkoholowe nuty sherry czy koniaku skompane daktyle i figi. Slodkawe i rozgrzewajace. Nieco posmak mokrego drewna i koncowka kwaskowa alkoholowa. Nie przeszkadzalo to a wnet umilalo sylwestrowa powolna degustacje. Bardzo dlugi finisz. Klasych Cystersow polecam do starzenia bo kapitalnie i lepiej smakuje niz swierze piwo ktore kiedys pilem w malej butelce. 750ml bottle. Vintage Cuvee 2010. Thanks to Tim for rare and old bottle. No coz, jednak za pieknie sie nie starzeje to piwo, owocowe, sliwki daktyle, figi, rodzynki jumbo i karmel tak jak wersja magnum nie widze specjalnych roznic. Tamto pite po 6 latach a to po az 13, a wiec ponad 2 krotnie dluzszy czas, ktory specjalnie nic nie wniosl.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours muddy brown with a medium beige head that collapses into a collar and skiff of foam after a minute. Big unappetizing
chunks of sediment appear in my second Trappist glass; I left a half inch of beer in the bottle even. Aroma is doughy, yeasty, funky, dark fruits, dust, pepper, caramel. Taste is sweet and meaty and turns slightly bitter, tart and dry in the finish. Carbonation is average, body is medium to full. It’s a good beer, but I was expecting more.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Hazy dark brown with an off-white head. Yeasty aroma. Taste is bready, with some caramel. The alcohol is also noticable. Medium to strong carbonation

33 cl. bottle @ home. Pours a hazy brown wth a decent off-white head. There are some (black) berries in the smell along with some yeast. it has medium strong carbonation and an unbelievable taste. of the three Rocheforts I think I like this one the best because of its unique full taste while at the same time the alcohol percentage is manageble. Great great beer.

11.2oz bottle poured into the Rochefort chalice glass. Deep, dulled, unfiltered cherry brown. Not much of a head, but some soda-like carbonation keeps coming. This is a superb beer all the way, full of all the dark fruit and chocolate tastes of a great dark Belgian, with no real cloying alcohol at all. Pretty amazing. Mellow raisin, plum, prune..all perfectly in line and complementary of each other. Smooth brown chocolate malt tones. Mild balancing peppery hops up front fade into a smooth doughy finish.

I’ve waited for some time with rating this one. It is one of the best trappist beers around, and one of my long time favourites.
Dark brown beer, firm fluffy creamy beige head. Spicy aroma, raisins, plums, brown sugar, some milk chocolate, very fruity. Flavour quite sweet and fruity, dried fruits, currants, candy sugar, some roasted malt tones. Full body and lingering fruity malty finish, where you just start to notice the alcohol. Nicely balanced, one of the great beers.

11.2oz bottle served in official Rochefort chalice. Unfiltered amber-brown, floaties. Thinnish head, loud fizzy carbonation, champagne-like. Not much as far as aroma..light, delicate chocolate-amber tones. Very light on the palate. Really lets the yeast shine, lots of fruity toffee tones. Never overwhelming on the palate, light and efferverscent. Somewhere between an Belgian Amber and a Brown, but not as cloying. Light brown chocolate tones in the distance. So much depth, this is certainly a masterpiece of a beer. Really quite sessionable, the alcohol is completely hidden away. Certainly improves as it reaches cellar temperature, lets the dark malts shine. Wow.

Appearance - Ruby brown, slight haze, slightly off white bubbly head, a little lacing.
Aroma - Spices, some herbal notes, sweet malts, slightly floral, hint of port, dark fruits - alcohol soaked raisins, varnish on old furniture. Very complex, fascinating, enigmatic aroma. Alcohol almost completely hidden.
Taste - Spices, sweet caramel malts, dark sugar, dark fruits - raisins and figs, aromatic, some yeast, warming alcohol.
Palate - Medium to high carbonation which suits the beer allowing the taste to dance around the mouth, sweet, medium body. Finish of warming alcohol with spice and fruits, lingers a little then cleans well
Overall - Aroma is fantastic, but I prefer the richer body and taste of the Rochefort 10, but it is still a superb trappist beer.
