Quite hazy peach and copper coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of pure white grape juice with some light, mellow hop notes, a few malty notes and a big juicy scent along with bitterness from the hops and a nice roundy finish. Light-bodied; Strong juicy flavours at first with a huge dose of white grape juice, some lighter and low alpha acid-based hops with a proper balance of lighter malt flavours and only a touch of the grass and dry flavours at the very tail end. Aftertaste shows no bitterness, just a nice juicy bite that shows more white grapes than anything else, and is quite easy to go down with only a touch of dry and herbal notes that get in the way. Overall, a nice enough, very juicy IPA with some nice complexities up front, but a bit of the skewed flavour that you get with all the additional malts and white grape notes. Good to sample, but a bit one-sided and relatively simplistic, considering the style, but nice to have fresh! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 13-March-2018 for US$9,99/six pack sampled in my hotel room here in Omaha, Nebraska on 16-March-2018

Draft/Fest. A- Oranges, mango, papaya, marmalade, juicy. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Juicy, citrus, mango, oranges, papaya, dank, bitter. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, juicy finish. O- These inverted IPA's are killing it. Can't wait to try the Citra version now. Loaded down with tropical fruits and a bitterness that doesn't show through until it starts to warm. Well done, and certainly not a light beer.

Draft/Fest. A- Strong cinnamon, mild vanilla, mild cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Cinnamon, cocoa, sugar. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, robust finish. O- This was a cinnamon bomb. It was just too much. You could find a little vanilla icing flavor beyond the cinnamon but it was so spiced forward the cinnamon almost came cross as spicy. Good, but with some fine tuning could be excellent.

Can. A- Cardboard, subtle tobacco, malty, caramel, vanilla. A- Dark red brown color, dark liquid, minimal head. T- Malty, subtle iron, peat, tobacco, leather. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Not bad at all but I imagine the barrel aged version rocks it. Would like a bit more boldness from it. Quite malty and a lot of peat.

Draft. A- Funk, barnyard, slightly floral. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Funky, floral. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish. O- Lots of funk. The rose hips add a nice soft balance to it all. Shockingly gave this a 3.5 only to realize every other rate is a 3.5 as well. Consistent I guess.

Draft. A- Vanilla, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Vanilla, cocoa, sharp alcohol. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly harsh finish. O- Definitely can taste the base beer and then of course a butt load of vanilla. Sadly, the vanilla is fairly harsh and does not taste smooth and natural. I think if this was barrel aged, it would actually help it as odd as that sounds. Still a tasty stout.

Can. A- Floral, grape juice, sweet. A- Dark purple color, clear liquid, slightly pink head. T- Floral, red grapes, cheap wine, slightly metallic, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly off finish. O- I love White Elm but stuff seems to be slightly less as tasty when it's canned rather than fresh on their tap. This was nice and had a touch of tartness to it but also a bit of a metallic taste that I can't get past.

32 oz. growler purchased at Growler USA, Omaha. Appearance is a cloudy, murky color without much head. Aroma is rose petals, mild funky yeast, and unripe do fruit. The flavor has a good amount of roast hips(seeds). The base has a solid amount of brettanomyces. Shows a good amount of funk with the Rose notes. Pretty interesting.

Draft, 4 ounce sample glass at the brewery. Appearance Is used motor oil black with a thin beige head that diminishes steadily to a dense film. Aroma of roast malt, deep barley and intense chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, fudge and mild lingering booze. The finish has the booze but at 13% it does not come off overly harsh. It simply reminds you that it is a beast of an imperial stout that needs to be sipped. Very intense.

Draft, 4 ounce sample glass at the brewery. Appearance shows me a orange market color. Aroma has guava, honey, vibrant tropical fruits with a note of oats. The oat gives a nice fullness to the texture with a dialed in carbonation level.
The flavor is just flat out good. Clementine, guava, lemon, with a nice subtle malt bill. Gives a slightly juicy character with a moderate / leaning on strong bitterness. Nicely unbalanced to remind you it is an IPA with a slap.
