Description
We started Braybrooke in 2017 with just one aim - to make really good lager. Beer doesn’t have to be complicated as long as it’s made in the right way with a commitment to quality. That’s exactly what we’re doing, brewing proper lager in the heart of the English countryside, near Market Harborough.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from All Good Beer. Pours totally clear gold with a frothy, white topping. Delicious beer, lightly sweet, balanced bitterness, pleasant biscuit and grass interplay, fresh pale bread, no dough, nips of lemon peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, lightly bitter, further grass, dried biscuits, hay. A little lip-smacking bitterness in the aftertaste. This is the best of the recent trio from Braybrooke. It’s outstanding.

330ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Chocolate brown, slightly translucent with a tiny ring of beige/khaki head. Sweet coffee, black grape, plum, charcoal and white pepper on the nose. Tastes incredible. Initially sweet with spicy coffee to the fore, with a lovely hop bitterness leading to the finish. More grape and lots of black coffee in the aftertaste. Full body with heavy carbonation. Intense and absolutely gorgeous.

330ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester, and drunk at home. Copper brown, clear with a ring of off-white head. Toffee, caramel, some milk chocolate, suggestions of stone fruit in the aroma. The sweet taste is almost immediately balanced by modest earthy hop. Dusty chocolate malt and cola nut in the aftertaste. Heavy carbonation. It's a pretty good dunkel.
