Description
We started Braybrooke in 2017 with just one aim - to make really good lager. Beer doesn’t have to be complicated as long as it’s made in the right way with a commitment to quality. That’s exactly what we’re doing, brewing proper lager in the heart of the English countryside, near Market Harborough.

Thursday 16th October 2025. Cobweb tasting session with four friends, almost every beer being very old or just 'out of date' (mostly very old). My place being the venue. Cheers Simon for the 330ml bottle of this, only 13 months out of date. Perfectly adequate Helles, light and balanced with just enough hop content to marry together with the malt content. We think this might be one of Braybrooke's first brewed beers (the guy who designed and built the brewery was one of the people at this tasting session and three of them were at the Braybrooke tasting room opening night).

Bottle at Granger & Co, Notting Hill. Hazy yellow with an attractive, lasting white head. Middling fizz. Semi-sweet lemon up front, with a lightly dry grassy finish all set against a gentle biscuitty background. Clean, crisp and refreshing. One of those all-too-rare beasts - a lager that I actually really enjoyed.

Bottle on 24th May 2025, received as gift. Pours very slightly hazy gold with shallow, lasting white foam and bands of lacing. Grassy hoppiness and savoury nuttiness in aroma. Grassiness dominates in-mouth, and finish is a blend of grass, citrus and emerging malt. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium body.
