Description
We started Braybrooke in 2017 with just one aim - to make really good lager. Beer doesn’t have to be complicated as long as it’s made in the right way with a commitment to quality. That’s exactly what we’re doing, brewing proper lager in the heart of the English countryside, near Market Harborough.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer. Pours clear caramel-brown with a modest, foamy khaki head. Very drinkable stuff, some nice toasted biscuits, a little toffee and caramel, brown bread, perhaps yeast, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, brown bread, toasted caramel. Super tasty.

Bottle from Hoptimism. Appearance - lightly hazy and golden. White lacing. Nose - green beans, bitter salad. Sweetcorn and bready notes too. Taste - endive, raddichio leave. Dry, corn and bread backdrop. Palate - light bodied, long bitter finish. Overall - lovely stuff. Like first reviewer, I could do a barrel of this. That's how to make a lager!

6/2/2021. Can shared at the second Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. England vs Brazil. From Hoptimism. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, biscuit, grass. Medium biscuity sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Nice for the style. More to the taste than the aroma.

Taste has a touch of sweetness. Light dry with herbal bitterness. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Brisk carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. Tasty.
