Description

Bottle: Deep honeyish-golden coloured, mid-sized, rapidly collapsing fluffy off-white head, solid bisquity, sweet and grainy nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; quick bisquity-grainy finish, supported by some alcohol. Drinkable, but really not the best Bock.........

Bottle from Landbierparadies, Nurnberg. Amber coloured with a moderate white head and lacing. Aroma of caramel and honey. Flavour was also sweet, although with a nutty edge and a decent bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Had this from tap at the same place as Mads Langtved. Clear brown color, short off-white head. Bocky aroma of hop, caramel malt, bit roasted, bit fruity. Bitter and malty taste. Decent balance, but not fantastic.

Draught London Drinker BF 07. It didn’t take us long to get onto the German beers after the farse that was the condtion of the UK cask beers. In fact this was beer number 10 between 3 of us. Gold colour, no head. Lager malt/hop aroma. Slightly sickly in mouth. Nice hop on end. Decent and grassy.

Draught at the Bruxellensis Festival 2006, Brussels, Belgium
White, creamy head. Hazy, yellow body. Nose of sharp fruits. A little bit of smoke in the aroma too. Heavily bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter in the end. Some fruitiness in the flavour too, which makes this beer very nice - good balance between the fruits and the bitterness.

Very aromatic nose of dark and toasted malt with toffee, milk chocolate and a dense herbal hoppy note. Bittersweet flavour, medium to light body, smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Malt-accented, toasty taste; dry, malty and moderately bitter finish with chocolate in the aftertaste. Clean, well-rounded and quaffable (17.06.2006).

(bottle, bought at the brewery) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Mild-sweet malty, bready aroma, slightly toasty with a shy hoppy note. Moderately sweet flavoured, malt accented, nutty taste, medium to light bodied, lively carbonation; rather dry finish with a late arriving bitterness.

(bottle, bought at the brewery) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Slightly dusty and sweet grainy aroma with faint hints of hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium body, moderate carbonation. Grainy and slightly hoppy taste; dryish medium bitter and herbal hoppy finish. This one has definitely not an overpowering taste, but it is clean and balanced.
