500 ml bottle from Sainsbury's, London, England. Pours a crystal clear deep orange-bronze color with a beige head and great retention. Good lacing. Lightly bitter caramel malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Caramel malt flavor with some light bitters in the finish. Better flavor than any of the ordinary bitters I had in England. I'm not getting any of the marmalade flavor. Clean and smooth. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Light bitterness.

Cask at the Cask & Glass, Victoria on 15th August 2025. Crystal clear golden amber with shallow off-white foam and spot lacing. Biscuit malt aroma. Fruitiness, nutty malts and leafy hops in-mouth, and a fair amount of bitterness developing to finish. Smoothish mouthfeel and a light body.

Pint of cask to break the walk to the station on a crazily hot day. This is a true English summer pint that is cut with welcome bitterness. And also served at the perfect temperature.
