Description
The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer - and while 1698 is the Brewery's official founding date, there is clear evidence that its heritage pre-dates even this period. Using natural ingredients, such as mineral water from the town’s aquifer and local hops, our brewers produce Kentish ales bursting with character and renowned international lagers. Our brewers blend art and science to produce award-winning beer we want you to enjoy time and time again.

A very enjoyable amber with notes of caramel, pepper, cream and sweet biscuit. The bitterness cuts through without counteracting the slightly-too-sweet taste.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Trinkgut, Kleve.
Clear dark amber with a white head. Caramel and bread aroma with some fruity hoppiness. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Nice one.

Watery, thin bodied, slightly roasty with hints of earthiness and toasted notes. Easy going. Would work better from cask.

Bottle from Tesco. Clear deep golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, rust, red apple and nutty malt. Flavour of fig roll, hot cross bun and copper penny. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A sweet, slightly metallic beer - more complex than I expected for the price point. This reminds me of McEwans Champion (will need to do a side-by-side tasting).
