Draft. Pale golden beer with a whitish head. Big grapefruit and light summer fruit aroma. Tropical fruit flavor with grapefruit. Medium bodied. Tropical fruit and grapefruit linger.

Draft from the source. Bright pale straw color. Aroma is citrus and grassy. Straw. Flavor is mostly the same with fresh crisp, bright grassy finish. Texture is dry, grassy and dry. Real flavorful and crushable. All day drinker....

Draft at the source. Clear gold. Aroma is very sweet. Malty pale malts, sugar. Low IBU, light mild bitterness. Sugar coated grapefruit, dried out pine cone, way more on the sweet malty side. Candy type finish indeed. Drink this one before the bolder more aggressive IPA’s

Sampled at Cellarmaker. Aroma is a nice display of Galaxy hop. Grassy, grapefruity and mango like. The flavor is mildly hoppy, nice grassyness up front, frutiy in the center with grapefruit and mango light again, maybe peach. Bitterness lingers. Body is crisp and refreshing with light pine hints in the back end.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is super chocolate forward. Lots of milk chocolate with some darker chocolate notes as well. Some light roast notes. Faint dark fruit character as well. Pours black with a small, thick, dark tan head that recedes to a thin film, thicker on the edges. Moderately high lacing with small legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a lot of milk chocolate character. Lighter, slightly bitter, dark chocolate and faint roast. Medium light dark fruit notes as well. Medium light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation and moderate stickiness. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice milk stout with a ton of chocolate character. Fairly light roast notes and some dark fruit add complexity. Pretty nice beer, but I might prefer SARA’s recent milk stout due to the more prevalent roast notes (also I am a SARA homer). This is really good though.

The beer is medium copper in color, darker than normal for Cellarmaker, though absolutely within the normal range for the style. The head looks pretty normal, medium in size, white in color, some lacing, good retention. Looks like a classic IPA. The aroma has some mild crystal malt character, again unusual for Cellarmaker but not for IPAs. It’s just a touch of bubblegum and caramel, maybe a mild toasty, doughy note, a little bit of biscuit. Hops are a bit mild. Pine, grapefruit, orange, honeysuckle. It’s missing most of the tropical fruitiness of most of their hoppy stuff. The taste has mild caramel malt sweetness with medium bitterness. Some pine resin and grapefruit pith. There’s some nice orange flavor in there, but this is definitely living up the billing as an old school IPA. Fairly dry. It’s still a well made IPA, just a bit boring compared to their normal stuff, at least for anyone who has had plenty of other IPAs. Light mouthfeel. Easy to drink. No booze. Some hop oiliness. Nice enough beer.
