Description

Bottled (my Belgian rating #700). Deep reddish brown colour with brown foamy head. Aroma is fruits, earth and some acidic notes. Flavour is really sour malts, fruity hops and licorace. Quite pleasant and wellbalanced brew. Could be a bit more sour.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy golden with a dense, off-white head leaving quite some lacework. Lightly tart, leathery nose. Medium body with lightly sweet, pale malts, brett-like accents and fusty horseblanket. There’s some Orval notes there with a dry and lightly astringent finist. Wauw, quite exciting - I really dig this one. 180807

Bottle: poured a carbonated orangeish hazy brown with a thick creamy off white tiny bubble filled head. The aroma is spicy and hops with some fruit hints. Taste is a rich spicy fruit malt with a slight alcohol burning finish.

Bottle shared with Casey, Loz, Traci in a Belgian beer tasting night Brown in colour, what a stunning aroma, red wine and grapey smell like an old vintage wine that had been laid down for a few years oak as well and a touch musty, fantastic. Tasted great with soft carbonation, and sour but woody sweetness, the oak definately there again and some fruits steeped in spirits. Loved this beer, but aroma was what lifted it above the ordinary.

Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Weirdly sour, and does have coconut aroma and flavour. Good fruit and sourness overall.3.6. Re rate on tap at Manuscript bar Ostend. Sour cherry flavour. Very drinkable though. Haven't had this in ages. It's a really good Flemish sour. A classic. Loved it.

This is nice, but a little too light and thin. Light vinegar aroma. Flavor is mildly sour and salty. A brown, rather than red sour.
