Cask-conditioned at the Imperial, Exeter 19/04/10. Hazy yellow in colour with a decent white head. Sweet, nectarine and orange juice aroma. Flavour had lots more peach, some elderflowers in the background and a short, bitter finish. Not unpleasant but, aside from the bitterness, this tasted like fruit juice.

Cask handpull at Westgate, JDW, during the Mass Spoons Tasting. Gold, with a thin lasting white head. Well its certainly very peachy. Clearly not as sweet as the Polish Plum. But it does have some peach dessert like tendancies. Very fruity. And like a few bitters with fruit, the two don’t make good bedfellows, you can’t be fruit sweet and bitter at the same time. In fact, it’s terrible. The peach finish is pretty good mind. Really interesting, but glad I only have a half. Still, better than the Black Chalice I had earlier, I mean I actually finished this one. Not great.

Cask. Hazy orangey brown with a creamy beige head. Sweet and spicy nose - almost candy-like. Medium body, flat, dominated by odd cake spices overpowering most other flavours. No bitterness. Odd. 200110

Cask@The New Wheatsheaf, London. Bautiful ruby red colour, small beige creamy head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is fruits, wood, nuts, some hops and mild non-sweet-nectary notes. Flavour is much the same, with a pleasant bittery tone to it. Also some slight notes of raisins. Rather bittery dry finish.
