Pours quite viscously to disparate tan bubbles over black beer. Roast, rainwater, cured ham, wildfire. Then the cocos arrives, herbs, overpowering all other aromas. Mocha, cocos, sweet roast, copra. Bit of wood, maltsyrup. There is a light, if present bitterness, indeed as from cacaopowder. Well-bodied, very slick & viscous. Alcoholwarming. Not a bad stout, if quite sweet. BB 11.01.2024. dark brown color, small pink head. smells beetroot, earthy, toffee, bit peppery, light chocolate notes. ok smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes beetroot, toffee, peppery, light bitter chocolate. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of beetroot, toffee and peppery notes. beetroot is there, but not over the top, which I like. There are some toffee notes, which for me do not totally work together with the beetroot. Overall Ok beer, not totally my thing.

BB 07.06.2024 . yellow clear color, small white head. smells spices, earthy, grassy, toffee, light chlorophyl. nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes grassy, earthy, peppery, tobacco, light lychee. finishes lightly bitter with notes of grass, earthy and peppery notes. good stuff, rather light and balanced.

Bottle from SinH4, many thanks! Dark brown with very brief tan head. Quite oaky, some liquorice, chocolate, a bit of punsch, roast.

Bottle. In remembrance of Pieter Hofstra, a real Beer Geek that passed away way too early. RIP Pieter! Color: Very dark ruby, going towards black. Thin light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, liquorice, oak wood. Taste: Dense and smooth mouthfeel. Roasted malt, vanilla, a lot of oak wood. Notes of liquorice, raisins and hints of nuts and lactose. Full body, below average carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet, over moderate bitterness. Very long lasting finish. Very nice.
