Apples are collected from traditional cider orchards in and around the parish of Pilton and slowly fermented for six months in our cool Victorian cellar before bottling.
Pilton is available as a selection of bottles and also draught in kegs, see our full range here.

Bottle at home, from HOTM (IIRC), 08/01/22. Clear almost translucent pale golden yellow topped with a white crown that doesn't stop for conversation. Nose is crisp apple, light herb, woody funk, spice. Taste comprises tangy apple skins, tannins, barnyard, funk, apple core. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent easy drinking cider.

12/12/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours almost clear pale golden orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of bitter marmalade, citrus, spice, juniper, rum, light woody edge. Moderate sweetness, slight oily watery texture, average carbonation. Dry finish. Interesting concept and I like all the parts but didn't fully work.

Sample thanks to Ed, sipped listening to #nowplaying on 6music. Pours clear gold. Aroma of sticky sweet marmalade, light spice. Taste brings a sweet, bitter marmalade character with light juniper hints and acidic citrus moments, with a dry gin linger. The cider's keeved qualities seem hidden behind all of this unfortunately with marmalade dominating proceedings, and very little rum presence. Not really a marmalade guy, so it's dominance here is not winning me over. Perhaps more rum and keeved fruit would swing things.

Sample, thanks Ed for this one. Drunk whilst thinking about riding my bike in North Wales tomorrow. Clear gold appearance, toffee apple nose. Taste is all about the keeved cider on the front of the palate, smooth, harmonious blend, nice fleshy fruit, with a subtle misty smokiness coming through on the finish. Islay influence is thankfully mild, but welcome. Interesting, captivating even.

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Orange gold colour, short-lived white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of caramelised oranges, roasted & juniper hints. Taste is sweet apple, with tangy bitter orange, juniper berries, rosemary and rum notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying gin astringent finish. Interesting, OK.
