Bottled 750ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb, shared with Marko. Almost four years passed since my last Canadian beer rating. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate and whiff of smoke in the nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, soy sauce, dried fruits and alcohol with pleasant bitter chocolate finish. Very good brew specially for the first batch.

Batch 1, 0.75l bottle from Pivoteka, shared with ogivlado..... FIRST! Fuck, never thought I’d be the first to add+rate a Canadian beer without visiting Canada, but there you go. Almost black body, tinged with... red? Creamy, tan head, thick, small, OK retention. Dark chocolate and soy sauce in the aroma, creamy, caramel, vague orange liqueur, as much on the dry as on the sweet side. Complex but not cloying. Roasty, very roasty, bitterish taste, very dark chocolate, slightly light, just a drop of soy sauce. Man... cocoa nibs extract really, a bit on the lighter, better attenuated side for 9%, not overly sweet, slightly more dusty and raisiny later on, very vague cardboard, but not really. Not flawless, not perfect, but definitely a nice drink. Good job for the first batch!
