Description
The pig philosophy was born in Lorraine, among the "Gros". With us, everyone is "fat" and you don't have to be physically imposing to be "fat" in your mind. Note, however, the deep respect we have for the most sensitive among us because, to quote a quote from Mr. Audiard who is dear to us, "When the guys of 130kg say certain things, those of 60kg listen to them. "
The porcine philosophy above all reflects the character traits of piglets, both jovial and epicurean, as quick to chouille as to taste a mousse in the rules of the art. She also has the will not to take herself seriously even if it does not prevent anything from knowing how to assert herself.
Having the Pig Spirit is also knowing how to share with friends. So let's start by opening up a good beer!
Swine friendships,
The Big Three.

On tap at La Robe & La Mousse, pours a clear golden, no head. Nose is dominated by the smoke, with bready malt and a hint of toffee. Flavour is much better, with smoke, bready malt, and a touch of caramel that all work together well. Unusual concoction but it works pretty good.

On tap at La Robe & La Mousse, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of dry roasted malt, and a touch of earthiness (from the beet, I assume). Flavour works surprisingly well, with roasted malt, subtle blueberries and cocoa. Not getting the beets on the flavour other than maybe drying this out. Very good.

(Draft at Mikkeller at Morebeer, Amsterdam, 21 Feb 2025) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with lemon, pineapple and grapefruit. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, orange, lemon peel, pineapple, white bread and a mild citric bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and juicy, with lots of citrus. Very nice.

The sixteenth one of 22 beers for our 12th wedding anniversary. Fátima's.
Bottle 0.33l, three years aged. Hazy, deep gold colored. AROMA- very strongly tonka - nuts, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon; apple with cinnamon impression - strudel, pear. FLAVOR- moderately sweet, very warming, moderately bitter, apple, pear, calvados, so strong tonka again, dried sugary grapes. Full bodied.
Really good.

Can from La Barrique A Cave Bieres, Dieppe and consumed on the beach. Blonde with a head. Quite a sweet tasting Blanche style through a sweet strawberry flavour. This is evident in aroma too.

44cl can @ Dynamo, BB 09/2025.

Can shared at work. Black pour with a brown head. Nose is definite banana, but more of a banana chips/fried banana kind of way, very interesting. There’s also some chocolate, cocoa powder, light coffee touches and light booze. Taste is also fried bananas, deep chocolate notes, light roasted malts, booze and molasses. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Tasty and the banana just works in this.

Tap @ Henrik øl og vinstue, Bergen. Clear deep amber, close to black body with a small, dense brown head. Wonderful aroma of dark malt, caramel and peat. Flavor is very complex with different layers all the way through the glass. Sweet, peated malt is the obvious first impression, then caramel malt, maple syrup, dry fruit, soy, warming alcohol and balancing bitterness. Then some nuances of nuts, spices, herbs and lots of unami. Full bodied and endless aftertaste. A big, bold beer with lots of flavors, not even close to what to expect from a brown ale and definitively not a beer for everyone but I found it very tasty and interesting with lots of flavors to explore where the sum ends up as a pleasant beer.
