Dipa två olika testas och jämföres på Biskoppensvapen Gustaf. Här har vi lite parfymerad blommig Dipa med lite tyngre typ lakrits i eftersmaken. Njae där finns tyvär nåt funky som inte ska vara där. USA dipan jag jämförde med var en klass bättre som vanligt.

16oz can pours a murky yellow with plenty of sticky white head. Nose has raw pineapple and raw citrus, some dried herbs. Flavor is big wheat and cracked grain, pineapple, citrus rind. Bitter and full bodied. Over the top.

33cl can, BB 11/2028.
Brune foncée, doré au verre, col fin crémeux tenace moka.
Arôme sur un bouquet marqué de malts – solide, grillé avec un agréable café et torréfié – chocolaté, caramel grillé tenace avec un effet Bourbon plutôt discret voire un peu trop.
Palais est épais avec une belle rondeur venant de l’avoine. Malts caramel, pâle, chocolaté, presque léger sur la mélasse, Bourbon plutôt absent et je note peu ce côté vanillé pourtant toujours marqué qui ici est trop faiblard. Fini avec une note de fruits rouges et collant aux lèvres.
Le tout est assez décevant pour une série de Fat Pigg qui m’avait habitué à vraiment être au top – le volet de Bourbon reste en retrait et quasi absent pour moi. Cependant, reste correcte.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, dried fruits and some mild herbal tones with chocolaty tones. Flavour is floral, dried fruits, plum and some mild spicy tones with of raisins too.

J'aime bien l'innovation, mais la brasserie Piggy est allée un peu loin sur cette Calvados Zestus. Nous sommes donc ici en présence d'une Imperial Saison vieillie en fut de calvados (8 mois) et intégrant cannelle et zestes d'orange. La cannelle, très clairement est en trop. Et autant j'aime bien les bières vieillies en fut, autant là, ça déménage fort. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé voilé quasi sans mousse. Le nez est sur une alliance de blé, orange, pomme, calvados, cannelle et citron. L'alliance surprend. En bouche, cela déménage avec un calvados qui est trop prononcé et qui rend la bière trop forte en bouche. La cannelle e dérange également personnellement et ne s'insère pas bien dans le mélange. La complexité est au rendez-vous et la corpulence et la longueur sont bonnes. Je serais intéressé de tester la base sans aucun ajout.

Can at home shared with Laura. Yellow color, average sized white head. Aroma is a bit faint. Flavor is lightly malty, sweetish hoppy, blossomy a bit. Hmm not very interesting tbh, just another NEIPA. Okay but nothing special.

Can from Beerdome. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - citrus and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 010424

Tap at Skaal, Copenhagen 22 March 2024 Great citra showcase here, big juicy fruity action with lots of tangerine and mango, papaya, some nice hop spice bite in there, thick sweet malty backbone, resinous bitter hoppy warming close. Very nice.
