Bottle shared with Koelschtrinker. A clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt, grains. Taste of sweet grainy malt, straw, mild bitterness.

Bottle, thanks Axel! Nose is sweet grains, citrus, bread. Palate is thin grainy citrus, orange. Bitter finish. Very standard helles.

„Karmeliter Bockbier“, 7,5 %, Flasche (50 cl) von Werner, Bischofsheim. - An einem neuen Bockbier kann ich nie vorbeigehen, auch wenn meine bisherigen Erfahrungen mit der betreffenden Brauerei nicht viel Gutes erwarten lassen ... - Orangegold, klar, schöner Schaum. - Nase breit zuckrig und unverhohlen fuselig mit der Herbe von Pfirsichkernen. - Antrunk breit kandiszuckersüß mit herber Aprikosenkonfitüre und derb krautig-hopfenherbem Einschlag. Breit vollmundig, weich im Mund, alkoholschwer. Im Abgang schroffe, etwas holzige Bittere. Langer, derb bitterer Nachtrunk mit ranziger Herbe. - Simpel gestrickter, ruppiger heller Bock, aber mit Tiefgang und Wucht. Durchaus noch trinkbar.

As Karmeliter Hell. Minikeg from Aldi. Pale gold. white head. Crackery aroma with herbal and some lemony notes. Grainy, slightly biscuity and not all that sweet with herbs and a decent bitter kick. Slightly metallic. Not bad.

0.5l bottle. Clear golden body with basically no head. Aroma and taste of bread, grains and hay. The taste is a tiny bit sulfuric too. Nothing special in this beer, but drinkable.

3.1lt mini-keg from ALDI into Weizen glass. Aroma of cream, bananas and spice. Hazy amber beer with large white head. Medium body, easy drinking. Finish is like the nose, only less so. Standard Hefe, refreshing and delicious without being exceptional.
