Cask, The Crescent, Salford. Clear golden colour with a very thin white head. Aroma was grapefruit, citrus hop and a dash of cat pee. Balanced citrus hop flavour leading to a dry lingering bitter finish. Solid and tasty and an amusing pump clip to boot..

Cask handpull at The Wenlock Arms, London. Pale gold, lasting thick off white head. Slightly sweaty hoppy golden ale. Settles down into a bit of a leafy lime golden beer.

Cask at Crescent, Manchester, Salford. A red amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty and fruity. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries - some black currant, making it a bit tart, leading to a dry berry finish. Not bad, but just a bad composition.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 09. Black, very dark brown, very thin beige head. Some dark fruit on aroma. Odd, I expected it to be roasty, but it isn’t. It’s a fuller, bigger, juicier stout. Good carbonation sting on finish. OK, good interest.

Cask Conditioned at The Castle, Furnival St., London
Hazy copper color, minimum head. Very nice aroma of hops and malt, a bit earthy, with hop flowers. The mouthfeel is smooth enough in the beginning, but later it shows its low gravity; it has a very good flavor of caramel and a good hopping, juicy and a bit resiny. Correct final. One of the best below 4% ABV.

On handpull at Ye Cracke, Liverpool 28-11-08. The abv of this was 6% and it was called Mistress Zad Dark Domintaion but looking at the commercial description this is the Oct to Dec version. Pours dark brown in fact its almost black with an off white small bubbly head. Dark roasted molassess dominate proceedings but the expected juicy hops also burst through. Some cold coffee dregs are also present, it’s a very decent beer. A6 A4 F8 P4 OV15 3.7

Cask gravity at Oxford Beer Festival 16-10-08 Very pleasant golden ale that would make quite a nice session ale. There were nice lemony touches to this, but it was simple and well done, not as crisp or as bitter as I expected but refreshing and moreish, a good beer that you didn’t really have to think about.
