Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Getting towards the end of the evening so I don’t think I was making too much sense by this stage. That is a pretty good mild. In fact that’s a fantastic mild. Bit of ashtray. But just a fantastic mild, so much flavour and just lovely malts.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival 09-05-08 Amber in colour, caramel, honey and hops in mouth, like Glen say’s this is a bit sweet, it’s ok but not that exciting.

Cask handpull at Wenlock Arms. Bit buttery, not great. Bit of biscuit and bitterness, but the butteryness puts me off.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol, 20/4/08. Opaque black in colour with reddish undertones and a slight, tan head. Aromas of coffee, bitter chocolate, dark fruit and smoke. Easy drinking with plenty of roasted malt, sweetish chocolate and a short, dry finish. Enjoyable.
