Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caraml, hoppy, fruity, light citrus, wood - fruit - tobacco. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130119]

Cask (handpump) @ The Lord Moon Of The Mall (JDW), 16-18 Whitehall, Greater London, London, England SW1A 2DY.Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, nutty, caramel, fruity, spicy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask sampled @ St. Arnolds Day Beer Festival 2013, The Old Wine Vaults, Faversham. Deep golden to light amber body with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma is light toasted, malt and fruit. Flavor is smooth malty, bread, some caramel, fruity and moderate bitterness. Fine and balanced body, a bit short in aftertaste. A fine bitter for cask treatment.

Cask at the George - Littlehampton. Pours clear, copper-gold with a creamy white head. Nose of toasted malts and creamy bread. Light to medium sweet flavor with sugary bread, some toasted grass, lightly astringent leady bitterness, faint ripe fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild dry leaf finish, hints of toasty caramel and bread, toasted sugars. So so.

Cask at the Assembly Rooms, Solihull. Poured a deep mahogany with a copper orange hue and a frothy off-white head. The aroma is weak malty leading to a weak bitter flavour, with some peaty smoke and a little liqourice. The palate is somewhat watery though, so for me it’s hardly satisfying. I would not order another.

500ml bottle from Tescos, Camberley. Gold with a thick off-white head and heavy carbonation; malty aroma; malty flavour; and a dry fruity finish. A plain and simple bitter.

Penderel Oak Spoons. Almost clear amber beer, residual pale tan head. Palate is soft and airy. Very mild carbonation. Sweet malts with a trace of toffee. Mild tangy dried fruits and a touch of raw grain. Comes together quite well for a crispy finish.

Cask at the Willow Walk, Victoria, 15/04/13. Lightly hazed dark amber/copper with a thin off white head that quickly dissipates to edgeing and a film. Nose is dark caramel, malt, biscuit. Taste comprises bread dough, treacle toffee, crushed cheesecake base, brown sugar, light fruits, vanilla. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, bitterness in the finish. Ok.
