Description
Burdock brewery set up shop in what used to be an old Portuguese chicken restaurant, and they transformed the space into an artist-driven bar/restaurant/music hall/microbrewery run by a group of musicians and music lovers. They offer a rotating list of clean pale ales, complex saisons, crisp pilsners, zippy sours, and beer-wine hybrids that are all brewed in house.

375ml at Phill's place shared with Matt. Appearance: hazy golden with no head. Aroma: first nose brings lots of awesome Riesling grapes, but after the development it becomes quite woody and funky with that elegant grapes character mostly disappeared. Taste: much simpler, some grapes, some wood. Overall: good, but there disconnection between aroma and taste.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma is quite musty, with lots of earthy, vinous notes, with gentle floral notes, and a touch of rustic saison yeast. Flavour is earthy and musty, with rustic saison yeast, dry white wine grape skins, and some floral notes. It's a bit dull and muted, but the grape skins come out decently enough. Pleasant.
