Description
Bexar County Brewery was born out of the need for newer more creative beers to be produced in England. The days of only having a handful of styles of beers to drink are ending, and we are part of that change. A beer revolution is occurring, and I am proud to be on the front lines.
Please have a look around. Here you will find loads of useful information (and plenty of rubbish as well) about the brewery as well as updates on beers being produced and where you may find them.
Cheers!

Keg at Evening Star, Brighton. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is roasted malt, cracked black peppercorn, coffee, liquorice, treacle and toffee. The taste is crisp, bitter, creamy, rich roast, pepper, toffee, juniper, earth and umami with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Great balance. Interesting and enjoyable.

Gravity Cask at the St Neots Booze on the Ouse Beer Festival, 2016 as ’American Pale Ale’. Same ABV, very similar deScription... I’m sure it’s the same beer. Dark gold, almost orange. Muddled aroma with strong malt competing with tangerine hop. A real forest-floor earthiness to the smell. Bitter taste, some sweetness in the middle but it ends pronouncedly bitter. Medium body, oily palate. Decent enough but a bit messy and not a patch on Bexar County’s best beers.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival at KEGS. Cask. As ’Un Poquito Pequeno’ at 3.1%. Lightly hazy gold beer, a few white bubbles. Palate is thing and dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light pale malts. Mild floral mid. Touches of grapefruit and grapefruit pith. Okay if quite thin and dry.

Gravity cask at the Draymans Son, Ely. Light brown, translucent. Smells like coffee... tastes like coffee. Seriously, unlike many breakfast beers this seems to be a very simple recipe which is dominated by the addition of mild nutty coffee. Bitter aftertaste, body is a bit thin. Having said this, it has an amazing amount if flavour for 3.8%.
