Old rating - A 500ml bottle collected from the brewery last spring. Pours a dark amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of fruits. Nicely balanced with a medium body. Good level of hops lead to a slightly sweet bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Old notes from Nov 2014 - A gift from a Welsh workmate. Pours a straw coloured blonde ale with a small white head. Aromas of vanilla created according to the bottle by Czech & German hops. A drinkable enough pint but without anything special.

Brewed for the Golden Lion and a pint from the cask in the pub. A fairly light amber colour with white head. Nice level of hops. Decent pint

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Light brown, with a tiny haze and a small but tight beige head. Light woody aroma, some summer berries. Tastes sweet at first, perhaps a little too sweet. There's a little bit of bitterness later in the sip and a slightly astringent finish. Watery body with soft carbonation. A reasonable bitter.

Hand pulled half pint on 21st January 2025, lunchtime. Kings Head, Leicester. Clean amber body, thin off white head. Malty front to both the aroma and taste, some light citrus notes creeping in, subtle bitterness towards the finish.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of tropical fruits, grains, malt, granola, nutty and citrus. Fruit and malt finish that is a bit watery and thin. Limited carbonation. Decent.

Can from Wales Ales. New brewery for me. Pours a 3/4 hazy gold with small white head. Aroma has a sharp citrus and tropical fruit - passionfruit and pineapple come to mind, a light dankness also. Taste follows the same path with a slight caramel noted malt. Its sweet, tangy and rich with a long bitter note in the finish. Slightly off balance for me but I like a haze-ey so finished it very easily! [#3639 rate / #29 Welsh brewery]
