Cask at GBBF '22 day 1, 02/08/22. Mahogany brown with a beige cap. Nose is dusty hops, biscuit, dried fruit esters, brown bread, light cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises biscuit, brown bread, toffee, earthy fruits, chocolate, light spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a dusty hop spattering. Fine but this would suit keg far more than cask.

Taster pour on tap at the CT Brew Fest. It's a hazy, light brown with thin ring of off-white head and trace lacing. Aroma is nice caramel, slightly burnt sugar. Taste is strong tart fruit over caramel. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and crisp finish. Overall, some of their other barleywines with one or more of the terms wacky, willi, or whammer describe they were going for tart fruit so I will given them that they may have gotten what they were looking for but not what I want in a barleywine.

Pours mustard yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma reminiscent of simcoe. Taste has slightly acerbic malt, some resin, pine oils. Palate isn't very well defined, mostly lingering tones from the initial taste. Underwhelming.

Pours a pale amber with a thin white head. Aroma of lactose, some mango, wheat. Taste has well balanced fruity notes that play well not the tongue with the lactic sour notes, similar to a Berliner weisse. Palate has lingering mango notes. Good.

Pours clear amber with a thin tracing of a white head. Aroma of wildflowers, honey. Taste has a nice malt layer similar to that of a bock with a barley hint and notes of honey. Palate is sweetly herbal, lingering black honey notes, slightly boozy. Very good.
