Bottle from an off licence in Kew. Poured a very hazy yellow with a big foamy head and aggressive carbonation. Aroma of melon, peach and orange sweets. Lemon zest, grain and oats in the flavour. Leaves with grassy hops, pine and a salty hint.

50cl bottle, bb Oct -2013. Brown colored, almost no head, nearly flat... Aroma is weak with bready malt and coffee notes. Flavor has bread, roastedness, coffee. Short, bitter finish with coffee notes. Watery. Probably not in best shape, betting this would be really good fresh.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, head. Somewhat strange aroma, herbal hoppy, green pepper. Taste is dry, herbal hoppy, hints of mixed pickles, especially pickled green and red pepper, a general peppery touch, chillies, elderflower. I’m not sure if everthing’s OK with this.

Half pint poured from cask at Elm Park Tavern in Brixton. Clear, dark amber coloured body. Sparse fawn-coloured head. Malt-fruity nose with a touch of anise. Joint taste of dark grapefruit and caramel malts, again with hints of anise. Rather Jam-like. Resin-like bitter endnotes. Fine bodied. Pretty nice brew (London 12.08.2013).

500ml bottle. Cloudy red glowing mahagony colour with average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Toasted malt aroma with a nuttily touch, hints of toffee, slightly grassy and herbal hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty with a nuttily touch, hints of toffee, dry hoppy overtones; a nice taste of roasted hazelnut remains in the finish. Resembles concerning colour, malt body, hopping and resulting taste more a Brown Ale than a Porter.
