Description
Throwback Brewery is a small, inspired brewery dedicated to crafting delicious, farm-fresh beer & food from local ingredients. Our brewery and pub are located within a picturesque and meticulously renovated 1860s post & beam barn in North Hampton, NH. Our 12-acre farm- Hobbs Farm- includes a hop yard, young fruit orchard, kitchen & brewery garden, heirloom chickens, and a beer garden overlooking the field.

Given the greenery and peaceful setting of the farm, you would never know that we are conveniently located right off of Route 1 and less than three and a half miles from the beach!

Since we got started in a small warehouse space in July of 2011, our vision at Throwback has been and continues to be all about crafting beer from ingredients grown within 200 miles of us. With the opening of our restaurant in July of 2015 and the move to Hobbs Farm, we have committed to these same sourcing philosophies and love & care in crafting our food as we do our beer.
In our kitchen, everything is made from scratch using the freshest of local ingredients from surrounding farms and New England businesses. For example, the eggs in our Fried Eggs BLTs come from our farm, and all the bread is made from scratch in our kitchen using spent grain from our brewing process. We are proud to serve such fresh and tasty food (and beer!) to our family, friends, and to you, our great customers.

Cheers

Bottle shared at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’13, 10/08/13. Hazed orange/light amber with a thin white head. Nose is tarte fruit, orange, light spice. Taste comprises lightly soured fruits, citrus, orange, touch lactic. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Not a hefe as I know it but just about drinkable, that said glad to be taking a small sample!

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. It pours hazy golden yellow with a medium white head.. The nose is earthy, juicy orange, dough, apple, pear, banana, hay and wheat. The taste is sour, fruity, white grape skin, dough, orange, grapefruit, gooseberry, green banana and icing sugar with a dry, tart finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Tastes infected unfortunately....

22 oz. bottle purchased at Top Shelf Brews. Nice looking brew. Dark brown the huge fluffy tan head that left massive retention. Aroma is caramel, roasted nuts and light smoke. Taste is sweet with the roasted nuttiness coming through in the middle with just a hint of campfire in the finish. Hints of chocolate malt. The roasted nut flavor is deep. Roasted grain backbone. Very smooth and easy to drink. The brewer really should brew this again next year. Much, much better than the standard Dippty Brown. A very nice drinkable brew.

32 oz. growlette from the brewery. Poured less then 18 hours ago. Pilsner glass show a nice hazy dark gold color without any head. Nose is all vegetal. Cooked mix carrots and peas. Where is the melon? What the hell happened with this brew? I really like what the brewers at Throwback do, using all local ingredients however, something went wrong with this. When I had a 2 oz sample at the brewery I thought this would be similar to Hell or High watermelon. Well it’s not. It hurts me to write this review but... This is a drain pour.
