Description
Purbeck Cider Company is the brainchild of Joe Hartle, son of Peter and Hazel Hartle of Purbeck Ice Cream. Joe returned from travelling New Zealand to his family farm on the Jurassic Coast with the idea of making magnificent farm pressed cider and apple juice as well as continuing his sheep farming.

17/7/2019. Bottle shared at the South West tour bottle share. Bought at All Hail Ale, Bournemouth. Pours peachy pink with a small frothy white head. Aroma of mixed sweet and tart apples. Moderate sweetness and tartness. Moderate body, bit above average carbonation.

Bottle from All Hail Ale, Bournemouth. Medium head with medium duration. Color is pink. Aroma and taste are rich apples, some acid, berries, juice and has a nice sweet and sour finish.

14/7/2019. Draught at the Four Horseman, Bournemouth. Pours clear bright gold with a small head. Aroma of sweet apples, light citrus and vanilla. Medium sweetness and light tartness. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. Fair.

Keg @ Stable, Birmingham. Pours misty yellow, light sparkle. Aroma is curiously sweet, peachy perhaps with overripe pear. Continues to taste, with a juicy light character.. quite a good showcase for this classic cider apple though I've never tasted it as sweet as this before.

Baginabox at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Clear pale gold with green hints. Clever name for it. Tastes of tinned pears on syrup with a scrumpyish tannic background. Sharp up front, plenty of sweetness, some vanilla and a dry finish. Smooth but dry aftertaste Pretty pleasant. I enjoyed it.

Box @ JDW Montgomery's Tower. Pours clear greenish gold with a light mist. Moderately sweet juicy perry, crisp apple, a little thin but pretty decent.

Bag in a box at Shakespeare Head Spoons. Hazy pale green colour. Aroma of a perry. No carbonation. I quite liked it. Medium sweetness. But at least it smells of pears. I quote liked it. Refreshing on a hot day.

BIAB at Tanners Hall JDW Fest, Darlington. Clear golden colour, no head and light apple & pear aroma. Taste is sweet, juicy pear and fleshy apple, with fruit syrup notes. Oily syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, semi-sweet finish. OK
