Bottle. Hazy brown color with a reddish hue. Aroma is plums, raisins, almost bubblegum. Taste is chocolate, brown sugar, raisins, very perfumey. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Solid!

Bottle from Fin, thanks! Drunk after a long day that included amplifier soldering Timelapse and lots of giggling with my little girl. Cloudy dark brown, very nice looking tan head. Smells like caramel brown sugar biscuits with spicy bread-yeast esters. Very nice chewy dark caramel notes on the tongue, though rather dry; nutty roasted malt and complex smooth yeast flavors. Smooth hop bitterness. Great dark brown ale!

Bottle from Drink? Hebden Bridge. Dark brown coloured with a small head. Smoothish Belgian styled brew with nice caramels in its flavour, hiding its strength well.

33 cl bottle poured into a Snifter. Lovely mahogany colour with a creamy lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, chocolate, dark dried fruits, green apples and vague hints of tobacco. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Lingering sweet finish with fruits and dark malts. Delicious, lacks a little bit compared to the best Belgian Trappist beers.

Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna/miele di castagno, schiuma beige media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di malto, liquirizia, frutta secca. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, maltata, con coda amara a bilanciare. Corpo medio-alto, carbonazione media. Molto buona.

Schönes Trappistenbier mit recht ausgeprägter Malznote. Im Vergleich zu den Belgiern weniger rosinig, herber, weniger elegant, gefällt mir aber genau so. Schönes Ding.
