Draught at the Return of the Belgian Beer Fest, 9/17/16.
Bright, beeswax-maize with a light to moderate haziness and a small, but well-retained, dense, white head.
Forgot the name of this hop, but it’s something new and interesting. Certainly very apparent and forward in the nose, creating a really bizarre (in a good way) kumquat-lychee-dill-yuzu sort of thing. Bright and vegetal/green and combining with the sour, lactic acid notes quite nicely. It’s backed by dry, wheat and biscuit-like malt notes with good minerality. Lots of pepper on the finish, as well, with the crazy, complex hop notes lingering nicely on the finish and no alcohol or flaw noted.
Similar in the flavor, with a very dry body and good tartness (not quite sour). Lots of lactic acid, light brett fruitiness and just all hop character. The dry hop is nice, I don’t know if it’s prone to resinous notes but being dry-hopped it obviously doesn’t produce any and just pumps out green, citrus and spicy herbal notes. Tight carbonation.

Bottle, C&C. Moment of panic when I turned around after tossing the cage and the cork was on its way out, but in the end all was well. No gushing or anything. Hazy golden pour with a large foamy white head that dissipates slowly with lots of residual and clumpy lacing. Aroma is dusty with a tropical citrus backing and some field grass notes. Flavor is light tart, a bit dusty but otherwise bright, lots of tropical fruit notes. Light body, soft carbonation. Quite nice actually.

2013 bottle. Pours deep brown into a snifter. Crackly tan head recedes to nothing. Alcohol-soaked dark dried pit fruit aromas. Dark caramel and hot soy upfront turning to pit fruit before the lasting alcohol burn.

Tap at Rattle n Hum reddish brown pour small head. Nose is light smoke and red fruit. Tastes of dried fruit, tobacco, plums, hint of molasses and faint smoke. Smooth palate. Slightly dull overall but nothing unpleasant.

Bottle from Beergium.com, 2015 vintage. Cloudy, murky golden with big white head. Aroma of honey, spices, floral hops, peppers and yeast. Similar taste with well rounded spiciness from hops, peppery bite, some very light funk. Nice saison with a lot of character. I like!

Copenhagen Beer Celebration Boston: pours light brown with a beige head. Aroma is smoke and dark fruits. Taste is meaty and smoky. Kind of sweet. Not bad.

4 oz. draft, Copenhagen Brewfest, Boston. Hazy pale golden color, thin lasting head. Aroma is huge herbal and spruce hops with light hints of lactic tartness.
Taste is floral and spruce like with light notes of tartness, lactic sourness and spices. Lightly tart in the finish. The body is lighter with a tart and crisp finish. Dry texture. Nice stuff.

Ultra-clear, light golden with an apricot tint to it and a small, white head with low retention.
Nose smells dusty/musty and rather vegetal, with corky-cellar-like notes and an afterthought of peach-nectarine. Odd esters of peach, apple, strawberry and even a hint of alcohol, with biscuity malts behind them....
In the mouth there’s more of the lightly dirty, musty, cellar-like notes that taste very cork-like, for lack of a better descriptor. Some peach, apricot, nectarine and such from the mosaic, with a strong woodiness from the amarillo yet neither hop provides any juiciness or brightness. As well, the body is rather full in texture, with wheat or dextrine it seems, yet there’s little maltiness to be had and light warmth from the alcohol. I’d say this is too old, but it just came out. No idea what went wrong here, though it seems like something did.

Pours deep brown into an English pint. Mocha head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Chocolate and licorice aromas. Soft with silky dark chocolate upfront turning to dry charred espresso in the lasting finish.
