The pour is a slightly hazy medium golden color with the faintest of a pink tinge to it and a huge fluffy white head that slowly recedes to a cap on top. The aroma is sweet lightly bready malt beneath a whole lot of yeast funk, a tart fruitiness, and a hint of phenol. The flavor is quite a bit nicer than the aroma. A sweet sugary maltiness up front melds into a tart fruitiness, cranberries obviously come to mind. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation and a tart bubbly mouthfeel. This is probably my least favorite beer from the Mystic Saison brewery. It’s a bit too heavy with yeast and phenols for my tastes.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a super large foamy head with great retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of rustic malt with light residual sugar notes and cabernet notes with light tart feels. Taste is also dominated by some tart notes with rustic malt and some vinous notes from the Cabernet barrels. Body is about average with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well balanced in terms of drinkability and complexity.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Dusty yeast and cookie aromas. Soft with sweet cookie and earthy yeast upfront turning to mild cranberry tartness in the medium length finish.

750mL provided by Jslot38. Thanks! Poured a cloudy hazy, yellow-orange color with a small white head. Some notes of cranberry, mild sweet-sour notes. Flavor had a touch of barnyard, with plenty of berry characters in here. Some tartness.

Bottle courtesy of jslot, thank you sir! Cloudy golden yellow color, small white head. Aroma of dust and barnyard, bitterness I guess from the berries. The berries really overwhelm the saison characteristics, except for a bit of dustiness.
