Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Mix of roasted malt, coffee and peat. Taste: Once again a very well balanced mix of roasted malt, peat and coffee. Dark chocolate, muscovado sugar and umami notes too. Over medium body. Just below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate bitternes, over moderate to medium sweetness. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Very nice.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, almost no head, only a few big bubbles. Aroma: Malty, melon, dark fruit, caramel. Taste: Malty, fruity notes of melon and dark fruit, spicy hints, some caramel. Quite coarse hopbitterness in the background. (from the Bullion hop?) Very unusual taste for a Pale Ale, but hey... this is a Butcher's Tears beer. Which other brewery uses Bullion hop in a Pale Ale instead of some kind of Stout, Doppelbock or Barley Wine? I think it's this hop that's giving this beer that Stout-like touch that's making this one so unusual. But what I don't like about this one is that it's nearly flat. I wonder if it's meant like that. I've had far better Butcher's Tears for sure.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Hoppy and malty, light hints of ginger. Taste: Hoppy, citrus notes, subtle ginger hints giving this IPA just the extra touch. Medium body, average carbonation. Nice one.

Flaska från Etre, BXL-pack 2022 drucken med ölföreningen. Ganska snällt rökig, bokbeståndet, lägereld, sötsyrliga äpplen och päron, ganska lätt kropp. Mild?? Trevlig

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermoment', best before May 2023. Slightly hazy, golden with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently grassy-spicy, moderately fruity-floral aroma of grains, straw and traces of lemon peel. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently grassy-spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of grains, straw and a touch of lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, grainy and slightly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in April 2022. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently smoky and quite roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, peat and licorice. Quite sweet, malty, rather roasty and gently smoky taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, peat and hazelnut, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Delicious.

Bottle 33cl @Café de Jaren, Amsterdam, poured into a snifter. Somewhat unclear deep golden colour, good frothy off-white head, slowly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malts, grain, yeast, light caramel, herbs and spices. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light caramel, herbs and spices, some lemon peel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, grain, herbal and spicy notes, very nice.
