Description
Artisanally brewed in Amsterdam since 2011.
Combining influences from the rich European beer culture with a non-conformist attitude.
From a family heritage of Swedish farm brewers and trained by the masters of ale and porter in England, we ended up in the Netherlands to create our own microcosm in the world of beer.
Inspired by the lesser known sides of European brewing culture and devoted to uncommon artisanal techniques, Butcher's Tears makes distinctive beers that progress beyond fashion and convention.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 15 Aug 2025) Golden colour with brief, foamy, white head. Fruity nose with rhubarb, oak wood, white wine and citrus. Fruity, tart taste with notes of oak wood, citrus, white wine, peaches and hints of Champagne. No bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tart, woody and winey. Interesting. Nice one.

Can from Drankerij. Pale golden, semi clear pour, white head. Light esters, a touch of peppers as well, decently phenolic, which I like. The coriander is quite apparent both in aroma and taste, pushing the spicyness further. Mild to medium bitterness to enhance drinkability. Not super complex, but quite decent otherwise

Tahvel ütleb, et 2025, aga kahtlustan, et 2023 on õige (abv ja stiili järgi).. pruulikoda ise ju kinni?! Igal juhul magus, mõru, linnaseline, herbaalne, puuviljane, tsitrus, kuiv. Ok.
