Sample at Pizza Port San Clemente. Hazy amber-golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is citrusy with some hop and malt notes. Medium body with a moderately bitter citrus hops character and notes of bready malt and a touch of pine. The finish is hoppy with a short grapefruit aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a large white head that lasts and leaves very good lace. Aromas are of hops, citrus tangerine, grapefruit, overripe fruit (which I generally associate with Centennial, but I guess not here). Some sticky caramel presence, resin. Low but still present esters. Flavors are malty, sweet, burnt caramel, crystal malt. Too sweet and distracting in that respect. Hop flavors are grassy, resin, tangerine, rotten fruit, grapefruit. Medium carbonation, sweet, a touch boozy.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear amber hued body with a white head that lasts. Aromas are lightly orangy, citrusy, hoppy, maybe some tangerine. Malty, and quite a bit of caramel. Clean yeast wise. Flavors are malty, grassy, medium bitter. Caramel, lightly nutty, floral. Pretty clean. Straight forward, clean and good. A pretty decent amber ale (as far as those go).

On tap at the tasting room. Pours with a very near black body with a large tan head that lasts. Aromas are toasty, roasty, bready, floral, chocolate. Pretty hoppy, lightly spicy and earthy. Flavors are rich yet very bitter. Dark fruits, dark chocolate (bakers dark chocolate), currants, roast, medium hop character. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry, lasting bitterness, a touch warming.

On tap at BAM Fest. Pours with a clear orange body with a very small white head. Aromas are floral, waxy, lightly biscuity. Very floral honey character with a bit of what seems like oak/vanillin. Flavors show a light bitterness or tannin (oak?), very floral honey, dry, vanilla. Finishes very dry but the body is somewhat weighted (pleasant), with light carbonation. Very tasty.
