Cask - Apple and nice warming spices. Copper with a thin beige head. Earthy, sweet and some tannins with a light spice apple flavour. Finish is sweet and semi-dry. I quite like this.

Keg at the estcourt arms Watford. Very pale petrol yellow colour with a short lived fine white head. Aroma is fairly fresh fruit, apple and slightly sweet. Some spicy notes, cheesey in the nose. Flavour is fairly bright fruit, semi sweet, tart note and some bile in the finish. Some apple core, woody. Fine carbonation and semi sweet. Average.

On tap at Cider Tap, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out light candied notes upfront along with dry apples. Flavour is medium sweet, with dry apples and very medium residual sweetness. Not a whole lot of complexity to this, but it's drinkable enough. Decent.

Cask @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Light yellow, lively carbonation for a cask product. Gummy bear fruit aroma, the alcohol is also evident from the aroma. Full, sweet taste with a drier finish. Nice.

From box at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Clear orange body, no head. Nose is heavy on the mangoes, bit of sweet eating apples there too. Taste is sickly sweet, lots of sugar, lots of tropical mango, with a sharp finish. Body is a bit too syrupy, but was a great quencher nonetheless.

Draught @ Bree Louise. Pours a very cloudy yellow, a touch tart with some custardy apple flavours. Not bad but had better Lilley’s ciders.

Draught @ Euston Cider Tap. Pours a deep orange and particularly flavoursome with tropical fruit juice, overripe apples and a pleasant dry finish.

Guest cider @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Dark yellow-orange, quite cloudy. Sharp fruity aroma. ’Real scrumpy!’ says my nose. This I taste it, far too sweet for me and the lower ABV shows. It’s not bad, but not particularly distinguishable from Lilley’s other still sweet ciders (except again for the 4.5%).

Keg tap @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Clear yellow, high level of carbonation. Aroma of fruit sugars. The taste is lovely initially - unfortunately there is an almost artificial sweetener aftertaste that demotes the overall package from excellent to pretty good. Strength is deceptive.
