Gravity poured half-pint on 26th Aug 2015 at the Peterborough Beer Festival. Golden pour with a white topping. Hops rule the nose and flavour with the malts a poor second. Not as bitter as you might imagine by my first few utterings, just very hoppy throughout (but not in a US West Coast sort of way).

Bottle courtesy of dad and like all the beers tonight it’s shared with dad, (cheers dad) consumed at home Friday 21st August 2015 Pours reddy brown with a big creamy head. Very, very easy drinking a touch of toffeea steady roastiness. Soft in the mouth a little (tiny) bit boozy (some oomph...) looks good in glass with ruby red glint, not great but certainly not overshadowed by the Mikkeller Beer Geek Big Brunch Blend. Appearance is dark amber, quite cloudy, a two-finger pillowy head which hangs around. Aroma- sweet malts, tangerine, pineapple, apple, hints of dark fruits, caramel. Taste- fruity, lemons, orange, sweet malty background, caramel and a hint of biscuit at the end. Good stuff.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with ruby red glimmer and average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, fruity hoppy aroma, hints of mandarine and orange, candied orange peel, a spicy touch of rye. Taste is dry hoppy, some rye spiciness in the background, herbal and minimally mineral hoppy overtones, cautious nuttily hints.

Cask at GBBF 2015, Olympia, London. An amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Rye, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, rye, malty, caramel, slight sweetness.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Mr. Butler, online. Pours clear, deep amber with a frothy beige head. The nose has a lot of juicy, oily pine, ripe orange, citrus rind, toasted grains. Light to medium sweet flavor with rich, toasty bread, light caramel, ripe and gooey citrus fruits, pine, bitter grass, light tobacco ash. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Resinous on the finish, with a bit of hard bitter grass, earth, toasted grains, more tobacco. Honours the style well.

From cask. Pours clear and golden dark brown with a deep orange glare. Small tanhead. Aroma is smooth fruity, light toffee malt note. Bitter, toasted malty and slight fruity. Dry and bitter far finish.
