Bottle split at Chriso Easter Tasting, thanks to LKS 04/04/15. Extremely darl mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering that quickly dissipates. Nose is cocoa powder, spice, dark fruit rinds, raisens, chocolate pudding. Taste comprises mellow dark fruits, chocolate, raisnes, molasses, dark toffee fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinkable number but lacks depth for the ABV and style.

Bottle shared at chriso’s Easter 2015 tasting - London. Picked up from beermerchants. Pours clear ruby-brown with a creamy, tan head. Sugary brown bread in the nose, light chocolate and maple. Medium sweet flavor with low bitterness, brown bread, brown sugar, soft roast. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Good balance on the finish, more toasty brown bread, slight dark fruits, cocoa. Tasty and easy drinking - just a bit simplistic overall.

7.4% cask gravity in The Rack of Ale Dover. Black beer thin collar tan bubbles. Intense thick dark chocolate flavour. Not much condition but its sweetish and enjoyable. Bit watery condition but highly drinkable nevertheless. Hides the abv well. Decent beer.

6.0% Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2015. Black beer no head. Big coffee aroma. I mean huge coffee throughout. Not subtle. But if you like coffee it’s pretty damn good. And ukelele music too. Good if unsubtle dry chocolate and coffee. Very dry. Not much condition.

Bottle from The Strand off licence Walmer. Hazy russet colour thick lasting beige head. American grapefruit hop aroma. OK soft malt, some sweetness, some toffee. Good grapefruit. Some crystal malt unfortunately. It’s ok but the crystal malt is not pleasant nor necessary. Otherwise, nice hops.
