On tap. Hazy yellowish with a creamy and lacing white head. Intense, exotic, tropical fruit aroma. Light body, soft mouthfeel, dry fruit accents and again lovely tropical aroma hops - maybe a little dusty - with a dry lightly bitter finish. 270712

Cask at The Old Red Cow, London. Pours clear yellow with a weak, white foam head. Has a bit of straw on the nose, with notes of melon and citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with big and juicy citrus, quite a bit of melon, grapefruit and pineapple, light bitter grass. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with lots of juicy citrus and tropical fruits, touches of wheat and dough. Very refreshing.

Cask at the Southampton Arms. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is pine, peach, farmyard, sweaty sock, resin and straw. The taste is straw, pine, resin, soap, lemon pith, astringent bitterness and grass, with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good bitterness, but too soapy for my liking.

Cask @ The Caley, Edinburgh 140712
Jet black, thin tan head, touch of lacing
Aroma - fruity dark malts, dark caramel, soft spices, really mellow, alcohol less noticeable than OFW
Taste as main aroma, bit less spicy than OFW, more fruity, soft chocolate, dark rich fruity malts, alcohol very well hidden, mellow, smooth, complex, what a great flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium to full body. Wonderful smoothness. Finish as main flavour, nice lingering dark fruity malts
Overall - This is a shade better than Old Freddy - it’s a fantastic hybrid porter / winter warmer ale

Cask @ Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh EIBF
Black with ruby edges in glass, thin tan head, some lacing
Aroma of dark rich caramel, rich dark fruit malts, rich fruit cake spices, hint of liquorice, yes there is some Xmas pudding in there
Taste as aroma, rich dark fruity malts, gorgeous flavour, soft bitter roast, slight soft liquorice, alcohol well hidden, complex fruity malt with mellow dark fruit cake spices. Superb.
Palate - soft carb, full bodied, smooth mouthfeel, bit sticky. Finish as main flavour with nice linger and light bitter roast
Overall - Best Moor beer for me so far, great flavour, seems like a hybrid of old ale / porter to me. Good winter warmer ale.

Very rare Cask @ The Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh EIBF 2012
Rich amber, clear, slight off white rich head, good lacing for abv
Aroma - rich orangey caramel malts, rich resonous hops, some grassy hops, orange citrus, dense juicy malts, rich resin, quite complex and fairly boozy
Taste as main aroma with rich orangey malts, rich caramel barley sugar malts, complex malts, grassy hops, soft citrus hops, sweet but not overly so, lots of flavours, saturated, quite boozy
Palate - soft carb, full body, oily silky texture. Finish as main flavour, smooyj not astringent despite big flavours.
Overall - Really glad to have tried this - very much into barley wine territory than US DIPA, lots of malt and resinous hops. Perhaps being at bit colder with some extra soft carbonation would enhance the drinkability.
