Cask at Firkin Tap, Warrington – at 3.9%. Pours a hazy ruby red with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma is vaguely fruits plus some hints of malts. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy, with flavours of dried fruit, caramel and thick cut marmalade. Later on some bitterness creeps in and this lasts into the finish, which is also slightly fruit. Not bad – fairly tasty for its strength.

500ml bottle from Anthony's of Wellington: BBE November 2022. Drank at home while tending to a BBQ on 18th July 2022. Dark bodied, cream coloured head; malty front to the aroma and taste, some chocolate esters and flavours come through as it warmed in the afternoon sun, sadly it seemed a little 'thin' in body depth and 'oomph'.
