Bottle: Poured a pitch-black dark stout with medium dark head with pretty good retention. Aroma is a mix between some bitterness and roasted malt. Taste is dominated by the bitterness from the hops and lacks some roastiness. Overall, this is not a bad stout just not too well balanced IMHO.

Bottle. Brown beer with a big beige head. Roasty chocolate malt. Full bodied, but goes down easily. Roasty aroma. Well put together.

Hazy golden color with flocks of yeast, thin white head. Aroma is extremely hoppy, more like an IPA, quite malty, some wheat. Probably, this is a quite typical american wheat, but i cant stop to compare them to belgian whites or german weizens, although it’s a whole different ball game. Taste is a bit flat, sweet of some candy sugar, bit yeasty.

’04. Hop aroma. Red. Flavor of hops then sweet syrup. Sweet finish. A hopped barleywine, it would benefit from less bitter flavor.

Sampled from 2005 bottle. Spicy, almost overdone in that department. Age doesn’t sit well with this one. Not enough malt and hops to overcome some stale spices. Well, that’s just my opinion.Bottled, 2004 Edition. Big, big IPA hoppiness, but not much else to set it apart. Some kind of fruitcake character, probably as in a slight fruit and nut overtone.
