Rochdale Winter Ale Trail 2025 Beer#2 at what is officially Venue 5. Very mildly hazed pale golden coloured pale. Hoppy in design with a hint of citrus, it's easy enough drinking.

Medium creamy white head. Slightly hazy golden pour. Light bitterness

Murky orange topped with a lasting white head.
Nose is pine resin, stone fruit, dank chimes, mandarin.
Taste comprises gooseberries, pine resin, stone fruit, dank spike, grass, mandarin, lychee.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spliced with juicy come resinous Kiwi soaked hop bitterness.
Solid Nelson and Riwaka punchy pale ... using these hops to as good effect as anyone else out there right now.

Black topped with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is roast malts, charr, chocolate, dried fruit esters.
Taste comprises dark malts, ashen nip, charr, chocolate biscuit, toffee, dark fruit rinds.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Tidy flavoursome porter.

Cask at the Falcon, HWY, 03/11/2025.
Golden blonde topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is tangerine, grass, melon, papaya.
Taste comprises soft malts, light pine nibble, orange pith, breads, melon.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close splashed with light juicy hop bitterness.
Decent enough cask pale.

Tap at mad Squirrel watford. A dark black brown coloured pour with a a lasting light fine khaki head. Aroma is nice robust roast, dark chocolatey roast, cakey, dried fruit, fig., light tangy fruit. Flavour is semi sweet, dark chocolate, mellow roast, fruit and nut, some tangy fruit in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, crisp pinch of tart,moderate carbonation. Robust Porter. Nice.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A CLear mid gold coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head that laces up the glass. Aroma is soft bready grains, leafy pine hop, green hop, leafy, spicy hop. Palate is semi sweet, decent cask condition, light spicy note. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, bready grains, leafy hop, pine needles, vague hops.. Ok.

440ml can from Tesco Extra in Chesterfield - cloudy gold body with no head. Strong fruity hops, lots of sweet citrus and tropical fruit in the taste, good bittersweet finish.

440ml can from Squirrel Amersham. Poured a slightly hazy yellow golden colour with a big, short-lived, fizzy white head. The aroma is light citrus. The flavour is light bitter, with a light, somewhat watery, crisp, fresh, light herbal, light lemon citrus, light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation.

Hazed orange topped with a white cap that retains.
Nose is orange zest, grass, melon, straw.
Taste comprises citric tinged straw, grass, melon, orange zest.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Okay IPA.
