Description

Belgian blonde inspired by the World War I commemorations. Sticky, lacing, off-white, dense but thin head over a deep golden blonde beer, clear but hazy with deposit. Aroma of freshly cut orange peel, bread dough, red apple, unripe peach, pineapple, banana, grass, straw, cake and quite a lot of iron. Fruity, estery onset, sweetish fruitiness, yeasty with smooth mouthfeel, typical ’velvety’ feel of oatmeals like a downtuned Tripel Karmeliet, metallic ’zing’, phenolic spiciness in the finish along with grassy and leafy hop bitterness. Quite well-balanced, but the metallic feel bothers me a bit.

Bottle @ home. Hazy dark orange to reddish color, full sized beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts and some sweetish yeastyness. Tastes about the same: malts, yeast, a yeast - fruity hint, decently bitter. Average body, fizzy carbonation.

330ml bottle, thanks to Jefverstraete! Pours a murky orange with minimal creamy head. Aroma is sour blood orange. Taste is sour cream soda with lots of vanilla and icing. Captivating, excellently blended and very refreshing.

GUSHER. 330 ml. bottle. Purchased @ Bierhalle Deconinck. BBF 25/03/2015. Murky dark peach amber, solid smaller off-white head. Smell is oxidized stale, cereal, honey, hamburger bun, odd,… Taste is bitter, herbal, cereal, honey, oxidized, metallic, supermarket vegan meatballs, chestnut, more old crystallized honey,… Bitter herbal, Chinese spices finish. Thicker regular sweetish BE body. Odd but somewhat satisfactory brew that feels Belgian not necessary in the best of ways. I’m liking it, an interesting experience. The more I drink it, the more I like, very interesting. Great work really.

just bought this one and it’s very cloudy but that’s to be expectedd with it jostling around in my bag. 3 finger head very creamy and luckily, not a gusher. It’s a nice cloudy orange. Nose is like a very young blended lambic.Very little vinegar, a lot of juicy pear and apple with some citrus. Taste is pretty sour but not overbearing, I get a little bit of wood at the finish. It has a really good sea salt and mango character. delicious and worth seeking out.
